(I sent this picture to Chris... show him what REAL missionaries look like.)
Well... it has been a good week.
A good week just because of what happened. It was still a tough week, trying to teach people, but there were a couple of things that happened this week that just changed it all.
The first thing was on Wednesday (If I remember correctly). We have been working with a guy named Charles. I think I have talked about him, but I will just tell you his background again. We met him like a month ago or something and he said, "Come back next week" so we did, and started to teach him. He is a real believer in the Old Testament and still believes in the Feasts of the Old Testament. (I know, right, what are those?) Well we have been talking to him at least twice a week now and this last week's lesson was great. The past lessons we have been trying to answer every question he has about the feasts and we don't know a whole lot about them except for what it says in the bible dictionary, but this last lesson we focused on the Book of Mormon very strongly. He believes that there should be a prophet on the earth, which not a lot of people do, and so it is kind of easy to tell him that if this book is true then it proves and testifies that there is a prophet on the earth. The lesson was great and guided by the Spirit. We testified and he was blown away with the Spirit. He came to a conclusion that he must find out if this book is true and so he said he would. We also invited him to be baptized and he instantly said YES! We couldn't set him with a specific date yet but we will set him with one this next appointment on Wednesday.
Thanksgiving was great. We went to the Ward's turkey bowl, we couldn't play though. President, the night before, sent a mass text saying "no turkey bowls" and so we didn't play but went to watch and see if there were less actives there or something. We then went to the Fawcett's house and had one of the greatest dinners ever. It was great. We were supposed to have a lesson that day but the women weren't there that we were supposed to teach.
We then went to our second dinner with the Stokes family. They are one of the sweetest families we have in the ward. They will feed us anytime and we had a good time with them. Played some Skip-Bo with them and just had fun. Then we went out and tried to talk to people outside but there wasn't anyone. We talked to 3 people the whole day. It was also a very cold day and so that probably had something to do with it. But it was a great day just because of the members and because of the atmosphere in the air. It even felt like Thanksgiving and it was a great day.
And now that it is over we are already preparing for Christmas. We are listening to only... CHRISTMAS MUSIC! I'm super pumped! It is going to be a great holiday.
We are also super stoked about this next week. As of right now we have like 7 or more appointments set up. And they are legit appointments as well. We are going to invite every single one of them to be baptized and we are going to get them to church this next week. The work here is changing! We are being more obedient than ever before and are working harder and harder each day. We have high goals for this next week and we are going to do everything we can to achieve them. I think that is about it.
I could use some money to buy Tay a Christmas present. Thanks for the support, prayers, and love. I love you all!
Get stoked family, get stoked for next week!! Because we are stoked! That is our motto now- Get stoked!!
