Nine

Dad,

Thanks for the email! It was a pretty fast week. I will for sure send out a thank you card to Grandma today. I believe that I still have her address. I will look, but maybe just in case, when you get this email you could send me her address.

You wouldn't believe where we are emailing right now. We are in the Mall in the Apple store... Ha ha we are low on miles for the month and so we decided to come here and email. Macs are the best for sure, I'm on a MacBook Pro... ha ha! We are studs!

It was a good Thanksgiving. We obviously didn't do any work on Thursday. We had a lunch with a family in another Ward and then we had our dinner with one of the families in our Ward, the Lescano's. It was a pretty good Thanksgiving, especially to be able to spend it with families from the Wards.

Yesterday we talked in Sacrament Meeting. It went well. Obviously we focused all of our talks on missionary work. The branch really needs to step up their game and do more work. But it will come over time. I made it my goal to be a "stand out" missionary here in this branch to finish off my mission and so I'm striving to do that.

We had 3 investigators at church yesterday. Nacho is still doing great. We reset him with a baptismal date for the 17th of December. His wife didn't come to church yesterday again and so we are having a tough time with her. Last week we had a lesson with Nacho all about keeping the sabbath day holy and it was a great lesson. He received revelation that they need to close the restaurant on Sundays so that they can keep it holy. So hopefully in the next couple of months they will have it closed so that they can start coming to church every week.

We also picked up a part-member family, the Bas family. She was baptized with one of their daughters a couple of month ago by Elder Berntson, and he didn't get baptized because he went to Mexico for 2 months. Well he is back and we started teaching him this last week and he and his family came to church yesterday. He will be getting baptized on the 24th of December. The branch isn't going to like that it is on Christmas Eve, but it's a baptism right?!

That is about all the solid investigators that we have right now. I keep getting reminded that Hispanic people just let you teach them to be nice and then aren't always there for their return appointment or they never do what they say they are going to do. It's all good though - we are searching for the elect!

Thanks for all that you do. Have a good week! Love y'all!

Elder Harvey
