2nd Week in Georgetown

Family,

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is doing great, because I'm doing great here. The second week flew by here because we are actually getting used to the area and working hard every day.

This week...

Well we are still trying to weed out potential investigators (and former investigators) from the previous missionaries. A lot of them aren't very legit and are either not interested or just not there when we go by. So we are kind of just doing a lot of finding for ourselves and trying to teach the people that we have found.

We didn't find any new investigators this week. We found a lot of potentials that we need to swing by this upcoming week and see how interested they are. And so that is about it.

We are still teaching Bill. He is the one that had the stroke a little while ago. We had 3 lessons with him this last week and he is progressing. He is keeping all of our commitments that we have left with him and so that is good. We are still determining if he is sincere about his commitments or if he is just doing it because he doesn't want any confrontation. A member in the ward that went with us last lesson told us that stroke victims usually just agree on everything that we ask them. And so we are hoping that is not the case with Bill. We have had the sweetest lessons with him and the Spirit has been there very strong. We invited him to be baptized this last week and.....HE ACCEPTED! So we are super pumped about that. He didn't make it to church yesterday because he had previous commitments but next week he said he is going to make it, and next week is conference so that will be super exciting! His family is not liking the fact that he is talking to us, well at least his son. His son was there two times ago and after the lesson he pulled us outside to talk and he asked for our "managers" name and number. We just said that we don't have one and we talked to him and he told us pretty much that his dad is not capable of making a decision for himself. And so we are still trying to determine that, we believe that he is able to make a decision for himself. But only time and the Spirit will tell...

That's honestly about it for who we are teaching. We did a lot of service this week. We helped clear a bike path around the lake on Saturday and then helped a guy in the Georgetown Ward do some things on like Thursday. We are working hard, just there isn't a lot to report on this week.

This upcoming week we will have people that we will be teaching, I have faith in that. I love you all!

Elder Harvey
