Feliz Navidad y Prospero Ano!

Family,

Christmas has come and it has gone! It came real fast and went real fast. It was good to talk to everyone and to hear how everyone is doing. It was a great Christmas day this year... I wasn't really homesick and so that was good. Just made me appreciate family traditions more and more. Thanks for the package once again Mom and Family and Lexie. It was a great package and I took a video of me opening them all and will send my SD card to either you Dad, or to lexie, or she can send it to you or something. We will figure it out.

My week...

Fast week this week. I don't know where it went. Tuesday we had our mission conference, which was pretty crazy. 190+ missionaries in one location. We took a mission picture and I ordered one and so it will be cool to see. There were a lot of performances at the conference, and my district performed. We sang a mexican rendition of Feliz Navidad! All I'm going to say about it is that it was the hit of the show... ha!

Christmas Eve we worked until about 5:00, then 8 of us missionaries went out carolling. My companion and I, along with Elder Mangum and Elder Lindsay (the other two missionaries that live down the street) went and bought Santa hats at Wal-Mart and we wore them while carolling. They were legit! We had a lot of fun. Then of course we had the greatest meal that night with the Medina family. Homemade tomales and pasole. Two of the greatest things there are. Pasole is like a soup that has like rice balls in it and meat and just is flavored very good. It was nice of them to feed 8 missionaries that night. We had the Zone Leaders with us from 5:00 on...

Then Christmas day came. We woke up and Elders Mangum and Lindsay came over and we had a breakfast. Elder Lindsay made bisquits and gravy and I made homemade Horchata!! It was good! I love horchata even though I haven't had it from a member the whole time we have been here. But I know how to make it and so we had it on Christmas. Then we opened gifts, had some fun, chilled, and had lunch at 2:00. The lunch was good of course, then we came home and I called home.

Sunday was a good day as well. We had an investigator show up out of nowhere. We have invited him probably like 5 times and this Sunday he decided to come. He loved it. The lessons and talks were great as well.

There was a set back this week though. We have been teaching Linda and Limary, a mom and a daughter, for like 4 months now and they are just solid. They were supposed to get baptized on the 2nd of January but they aren't now, and we dont' really know why. The father is the trouble. We haven't got down to the bottom of it yet but when we do I will tell you about it.

But we do have a baptism this Sunday. Victor Mendez a part member father is getting baptized. We met with him last night and he is ready to go. He is excited and his family is excited as well.

I think that is about it for this week. Thanks again for all you do. Love you all!

Elder Harvey
