Bueno

Bueno,

Another hot one here in Texas. The weather is over 100 everyday now and we are always in it sweating like crazy. All of my clothes are getting more brown as the days go on. Ha, it's great!

We had a fast, rough week this last week. No one is allowing us to teach them, and we are knocking a lot and trying to focus on finding but it just isn't happening.

Wednesday we had a zone conference all day. We left at like 6:00 in the morning and didn't get back to Marble Falls until 7:30. The conference was very good. We were trained well by the Assistants on how to find the elect, and President trained on Obedience and how that effects the work. As with all Zone Conferences the Spirit is always there very strongly, and he tells you what you need to work on. So obviously, there were things that I need to work on and I'm striving to do it. After the conference, I was humbled. The Assistants (Elder Berg and Elder Seymour) invented a Spanish test. They both go home in 2 weeks and they are the top missionaries in the mission with language skills and all. The reason I felt humbled is because I didn't know much on it. It was all translation, and boy do I have a lot of work to do. But I've set goals and I'm going to strive to be as fluent as possible when I come home, but it's evident I've got some work to do...

That night was good. We went up to a small town for the hour and a half that we had and we just went to work. At the last door we knocked we found a family of 6. All baptismal age. In the lesson the Spirit was very apparent, and we pointed it out and they felt it. We are pretty excited for them and we will see when we go back on Wednesday this week. It would be the dream family to baptize and convert to the gospel..

And we finished the week off, knocking away and not teaching anyone. It was a tough week, but we had a good day yesterday. We just went to work.. and the Lord blessed us. This past week, we have decided to cut dinners from the members because they just waste so much time. Sometimes the dinners are 2 hours because we wait 45 minutes for it to be ready. But I know that because of that decision and focusing on finding, the Lord will bless us with elect people that are waiting for the Gospel. We talked to a lady last night that was evidence of that. She was asking questions, and we would answer them and she would say "Hmmm... that's cool."

We are going back to teach her this week. The funny thing about it was that as we were just getting to know her she talked about her daughter that is home from college for the summer and what not, and towards the end she said, "Hold on, I want you two to meet my daughter." Well, we all know what that means is that she is trying to hook us up with her daughter. Her daughter didn't come out, which was good because it would have just been awkward and what not because we are missionaries, but the mom said "Yeah, I wanted her to meet two cute boys like you." We just laughed and scheduled a return appointment and continued knocking. Ha it was funny for us two awkward missionaries that are so out of the loop on that subject and what not!! It was great! Then to top of the night, we are sitting at our apartment at 9:30 at night, and we get a knock on the door. That never happens and so we were like "Oh great." Well Elder Frei answers it and it is a family that lives in St George and one of his real good friends that is a girl that he always hung out with. It was nuts!!! We talked for a little while outside... They are working in San Antonio and so they came to visit. It was pretty sweet to tell you the truth and Elder Frei liked it as well.

We have some sweet things going on this week. I'm sure regarding investigators the email will be a lot better next week. We are just kind of on a hold still right now. But the work continues...

Love you all! Cuidan les!

Elder Harvey
