21st Birthday

Hey hey hey,

Ha... I love reading the emails Dad. This one today was giving me a hoot. Trevan is a crazy kid... I love it! Thanks for the pictures too. Avi is a doll! Holy cow! I was blown away! Taylor emailed me as well and she told me the story of going to Vernal and you buying Trevan a Monster Energy Drink (you already told me that) but I as cracking up as well. It's great, I love it! Don't have too much fun with my sprayer Dad. You might enjoy it! Ha ha.

This week was great! I'm still here in Marble Falls just trying to find people that are ready for the gospel. Our area does not cover Dripping Springs, but the Dripping Springs Elders are in my district. They are great Elders and very young ones in the mission and are very powerful and bring the spirit strongly.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes and for the package. It was great! The candy is almost already gone and the money on the Wal-mart card has helped me out a whole lot. Thank you! I can't believe I'm finally 21... It was a great birthday.

It began with some members taking us to lunch at a Chinese buffet here in town which was good. They had some egg rolls and the other things that you make that look like a half sun? but of course they were not as good as yours Dad. I compare all Chinese food to yours and it never compares. It was funny because the members that took us didn't know it was my birthday until after the fact when I told them, and when I did, Sister Flournoy started belting "happy birthday" to me in an opera voice. Luckily it was outside and no one heard but it was pretty funny/scary. We then went and knocked after that until 4:00 or so. We had to knock the greatest named road in the world- "Harvey" street. No one wanted to listen but it was good.

Then we went and taught Jennifer and Walter Wilson. They are two of our progressing investigators. They kind of threw a party for me as well because they knew that it was my birthday and so we had cupcakes and ice cream. It was very nice of them. It just shows you how elect they are for the gospel. They are loving it! Reading the Book of Mormon like crazy and they came to church yesterday again and they loved it as well. They have a baptismal date for the 12th of August. That is right before I will probably leave and so that is very sweet! As we began teaching her, she told us of a dream she had the night before. It was of the Book of Mormon, like the beginning of it when they leave Jerusalem and also of when Nephi and his brothers go back to get the plates from King Laban, and she was there with them and witnessing it. She said that in the dream and after the dream all she could think was, "Of course this is true and it happened, why wouldn't it happen?" And so that was very cool to have her say that as she has began recognizing that the Book of Mormon is true.

We also taught Justin Harrod, our other progressing investigator that has a date for the 30th of July. He is solid as well! He is reading in the Book of Mormon every day and is loving it. We asked him last lesson if he believes the Book of Mormon is true and he said, "Well, yeah! It just makes sense!" He also came to church yesterday and they announced his baptism on the 30th and so he is set now! He is pretty sweet and is being converted just like Jennifer and Walter.

I love this work! It is the truth and that is what I love about it. As we talk to people each and every day and they say that we are false and all these things I just laugh a little bit because they have no idea. I love teaching people that just ask question after question because we do have the truth and therefore we have the answers to questions.

That is about it for this last week. The Lord's work continues! Love you all!
