Well another week has come and gone. This week was great and our work paid off in the end.

As a missionary you get to see your work, throughout the week, come to pass one day of the week. That day is Sunday. It all matters Sunday because that is where the test is. To see if your investigators come to church. And if they don't then your work didn't really pay off because they don't see the importance of it. Well like I said... our work paid off. We had 9 investigators at church yesterday. The most I've had any Sunday my whole mission. Jennifer and Walter came again for the 3rd time. They are loving it and just eating it up! They understand everything so well. Usually when we teach the Plan of Salvation we teach that living the gospel is what gets us to the Celestial Kingdom. But when we talk about it with them we talk about exaltation in the highest kingdom of glory within the Celestial Kingdom. This last week we asked them in our lesson to describe to us the people that receive exaltation or the highest kingdom within the Celestial Kingdom. So she went off naming all of these things like: faith, repentance, baptism, Holy Ghost, endure to the end, eternal marriage within the temple, living good lives, becoming better, etc. The answer was perfect because they really have their eyes on the temple even before they are baptized. They are sweet and will be getting baptized on the 12th of August!

We also had Dawn Yoho at church. We found and taught her last week and simply taught the restoration and invited her to church. She didn't come last week because her car broke down but we had an appointment this last week on Thursday. We went and taught her and she really understood well. We gave her a Book of Mormon and invited her to church and she came yesterday with her 5 year old son, David. They loved it as well. Her son was super excited to go to his own class with kids his age and after church he was super happy and loved it which is one reason why I know they will come back. We are going this week to teach her more and so we are excited about her.

And the rest of the people that we had at church was the Castaneda family. The family with 11 kids. We taught them this last week for the first time in like 3 weeks because they have been busy moving and with work and stuff. Two Sundays ago, we spent all day after church from 2:00-9:30 moving them. I really believe that that opened their hearts even more to let us come and teach them. The lesson we had with them was all over the place, they have a lot of questions, and they didn't understand our purpose as missionaries and so we went and taught them that. They understood after the lesson and we re-committed them to read the Book of Mormon because they haven't been and invited them to church. Well they showed up and they also enjoyed it. We have some great fellowship for them because his best friend is a member of our ward. And so they are progressing towards baptism, but not a specific date. We are going to set one with them this week when we meet with them.

Justin Harrod who is supposed to be getting baptized this week is doing great as well. He will not be getting baptized though because he needs to work out some things and be on the repenting path in order to get baptized. Our mission president is coming up to meet with him tomorrow to start that process, and so we don't know when he will get baptized but it should be within the next 5 months, if he is approved by the first presidency. But he will be alright and if he has to wait longer then he will be able to do that and will be baptized one day.

We haven't found anyone new this last week. We have been receiving a lot of referrals from headquarters and are trying to contact them ASAP because they have felt the Spirit and have wanted missionaries to come by. So we should have some good things going on next week as well.

That is about it that happened with our investigators this last week. More to continue next week. Love you all!

Elder Harvey
