Dad,
Well yet another week has come and gone. I think the time is getting faster and faster. Another transfer is almost up. We have transfer calls this Sunday night and transfers on the 18th of August, a Thursday. I have been here for 4 1/2 months and I think it is my time to leave. I kind of feel ready to leave because I've already knocked every possible road in the town of Marble Falls, three times! So I remember almost all the doors and what they said and it kind of eats at my faith a little bit on whether they will accept the gospel this time or not. But we are still trucking along and having success.
Jennifer and Walter returned from a week long vacation to Louisiana on Thursday and we met with them on Saturday. They are doing great! We have taught them everything and are ready for baptism. They came to church yesterday and they have started participating, which is a sign of true conversion. She is saying the prayers in classes and he bore his testimony in priesthood. They are doing great. They will be interviewed on Tuesday and then they will be baptized on Friday. We are stoked out of our minds! They are the most legit investigators that I have found and taught and will baptize. They are converted to the Restored Gospel.
We also had two of our other investigators attend church yesterday. Dawn Yoho came again and is liking it. Her son is loving his classes and is doing great. So she is progressing, it is just hard to teach her because every time we are trying there are distractions from people coming in and out of her house or her son is just crazy and won't stop talking and so it is a little frustrating but we will work on her and help her do what is necessary to prepare for baptism.
Justin Harrod also came this last week. We are still teaching him, but he is kind of weird about the whole thing. He knows what he needs to do in order to prove himself able to get baptized but he doesn't really do it. He came to church for probably like half of Sacrament Meeting and then he left and made up a lame excuse. But it is hard when you prepare for baptism and then a week before they tell you that you have to wait for like 4 months to be baptized. But we will continue working with him. I laid my first "hard-wood" floor this last week. It wasn't really hardwood, it was actually the just a linoleum floor. But we went and laid it for Bro Harrod, who is Justin's father. It was a good service project for us.
Other than that we have just knocked our socks off. I have developed two other holes in my shoes that I just barely bought 3 months ago. I guess that is what happens when you buy cheap shoes right. But I'm almost done and so these will last me until the end of my mission.
I'm continuing to recommit myself because I'm getting down to the end of the mission where I need to be committed to the Lord. We had a real good lesson in Priesthood yesterday on commitment, and it made me reflect and ponder my commitment and to recommit to the Lord.
Next week I will know if i'm getting transferred or not. Thanks for the support and love. Love you all!
Elder Harvey
