Dad,

MC football losing to Roy? That is pretty ghetto! I don't hear much about football down here. It is just because we are so out of the loop, but I do miss Friday night games.

We had a pretty good week this last week...

Dana is doing great. She is noticing that Satan is trying all that he can to stop her from getting baptized. It is two weeks away and she is starting to get nervous, and she is having all of these nightmares, etc. We are still teaching her every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday and so it is really helping her get the fire and keep pushing forward. Her baptism is on the 29th of October, we are excited. The great thing about her is that she totally understands everything that we teach her and at church or any other activity when she introduces herself she ALWAYS says that she will be getting baptized on the 29th and she is excited about it. The Ward loves her and is fellowshipping her very well. She loves coming to church and is totally converted to the gospel.

We found a new girl that we are teaching now as well. Her name is Gabby. She is 17 and just moved down here from Oklahoma. She was going to OU but not anymore and so she is down here living with her parents. She is the sister of Chris, who we have been teaching for about a month and a half. Gabby is really elect. The first lesson that we had with her we simply just got to know her real well and taught her about prayer. She prayed at the end of the lesson and felt really good, she also accepted a baptismal date for the 19th of November during that lesson. We then taught her with Chris at his house a few days later and she had read the pamphlet that we gave her and she understood it very well. She explained it as if she was reading it from the pamphlet. During that lesson we started off really rocky. I made the mistake of before saying the prayer bringing up a subject about the world and Chris went off on it for like 10 minutes. You learn from your mistakes right? But we then controlled the lesson and taught them about The Book of Mormon and about church services. The next day, which was Sunday, they both came to church and Gabby loved it. Chris now has a baptismal date for the 19th of November, because now he has his sister to support him and do it with him. On Monday we went by to try and contact him and he came outside and tried to drop us because his girlfriend doesn't want anything to do with it or us. But luckily there was a member with us and we worked through it and he agreed to let us continue to teach him even though she wasn't going to come along. Then yesterday he said something real cool at church of how he needs to get Heather (his girlfriend) to listen because she needs this really bad. We are very excited for the both of them. It is amazing when you can teach someone your age and you realize how this simple message can impact and change their whole lives forever.

Our other investigators are still doing good or they are doing OK. Garry and Jody are still preparing for baptism and we are still teaching them. They didn't come to church because of a lame excuse yesterday, but it's alright. We are looking at baptism in the middle of November or so. Our other investigators are still pretty much on the fence and not really progressing. We are no longer teaching Robert because he doesn't live in our area, even though he is pretty much homeless and living out of his car. But he will for sure be getting baptized soon and I hope I will be going to it.

Other than that not much happened. My companion is getting really trunky... but we are working through it. He goes home a week and a half before Christmas... It is crazy that it is just around the corner.

Regarding the BYU application... I'm not quite sure about all the information. You might need to inquire at USU for grades and what not. I'm pretty sure that I would be able to get in. It is the trick of BYU that I learned via a member... Plus with a Mission President's Ecclesiastical Recommendation, it will be possible. I'm pretty sure that I will need to do some of the application, if not all of it. It will be approved by President, I just will need to call him and ask when the time comes. Let me know. Thanks dad!

I think that is about it for this week. We are still working hard here in Randolph! Love you all!
