Intro... Chris and I talked (via email) this week about the BYU application process. My morning was hectic and I didn't get an email off to him (3rd time in two years), but he is patient and forgiving. Today is Katie's birthday... 100 days until he comes home
Dad,
Can you believe it? This was week 90 in the mission. Who would have ever thought that I would be this close to coming home. It is now official, I received the so-called "green papers" last week. It is a sheet with information that the mission needs in order to buy the airplane ticket and assure that I get home. So therefore y'all should be getting the flight plans within the next month or month and a half... I'm getting down to the "nitty gritty" (needy greedy) now and am continuing to work hard.
We are having a baptism this weekend!!! Dana is going to be getting baptized and she has asked me to do the ordinance for her. We are really stoked for this because she is great. The last couple of lessons that we have had with her have been pretty boring because we already have taught her everything and so therefore we don't have much to teach her. But she is still loving everything about it.
We also are now preparing for a solid WEDDISM!!! A wedding and then a baptism. It is going to be Garry and Jody. The divorce papers are on their way and will be finalized on the 9th of November and so on the 11th they are going to get married, on the 12th they will get baptized, and on the 13th they will get confirmed. It has been a long and very blessed road for them. They are real excited and so are we!
Chris and Gabby are still progressing towards baptism on the 19th of November. They are two of the greatest investigators that I've taught on the mission. It is cool because they are around our age and they understand and see that this is changing their life and will forever. Chris told his girlfriend the other day that if it came down to the church or her he would have to choose the church. How sweet is that? He is truly converted. It was funny we were talking about "investigators" and how that's what they are and Chris goes, "Don't call me that, can you just call me a fellow Mormon." They are great.
Other than those investigators we have struggled to find now ones but this is the week to do that. Things are going great here! I love hearing from the family... oh wait, no one else writes me besides you Dad. Ha, I figure I'll be home in a little bit so it's not a big deal. Love y'all!
Elder Harvey
