Missing Wyoming

Family,

What is going on? Sounds like Wyoming is the place to be, ha ha! I haven't been up there for awhile. When I get home we will have to make a trip up there and visit for a couple of days. I bet you are doing work, seeing how every time you go up there you do a roof or something else. Ha good ol Wyoming!

Well my week....I don't even know where to start. On Monday it was a good p-day and we found out that we were going to be pall-bearers for a girl in our ward. The funeral was on Saturday and this girl was physically and mentally handicapped her whole life. She couldn't communicate and she couldn't do anything. She was 19 when she passed away. She was awesome!

Her grandmother had been taking care of her her whole life because her parents didn't want to take care of her so her grandmother did. It was awesome to see the dedication that she had for Jordie and to see the love that she had as well. It was a very beautiful funeral and I was very honored to be a pall bearer at the funeral. It was sad but also very great that she had gone cuz now her grandmother can focus on her life and she can move forward in the church and grow her testimony, and hopefully go the the temple and do Jordie's work. It was awesome!

We had a pretty awesome week this week. We have a couple of progressing investigators. The first one is a single guy from another area named Javon in our singles ward. He was supposed to get baptized on the 6th of June but missed last week so we have to push it back a week. It was a bummer but it's OK. He is a stud and he knows quite a bit of God and what not and is now coming to the knowledge of the gospel. The other guy that is a single his name is Jaime. He came to church with us yesterday and it was awesome. He had good questions and that day there were lessons about baptism and stuff and so hopefully we get him baptized the same time Javon gets baptized. He is awesome as well. Both of them love UFC and MMA so it is cool to talk to them. Jaime has bad cauliflower ear. I asked him about it and he just said that every once in awhile he will drain it with syringes and stuff.

Our other lady/family is Gina and Theo. It is a nasty situation there. So I will explain in some detail about that whole thing. I kind of hit it a little last week. She is married and her husband left her about a year ago, but they are still married. He got baptized around that time too, and now has the priesthood. They are trying to work things out but he has a girlfriend. And she and her family are in our ward. Yesterday Gina came to church and before church started we got a call from her husband's girlfriend that I answered.

She chewed me out for a good 30 minutes just saying we are stupid and that something is going to go down between Gina and her family and she is lying to us and seeming like she is innocent and stuff and we don't know what we are doing and we are selfish for doing this. It was bad, but I did handle myself very well and we talked it out and by the end she was like sorry that I called so mad it's just something is going to happen and what not.

I told her that nothing was going to happen and we are trying to see if she is ready to accept the gospel. And she was not very happy about it. So me and Elder Walton decided that she was so upset and what not cuz she knows what she has done is wrong, and she doesn't want people to know about it and she realizes that if Gina gets baptized then her secret might get out. But we have talked to the bishop about it and he said that it is ok for us to do our work and to teach her and if Ted's girlfriend doesn't like it then she will just have to go to the single's ward instead. She comes to her home ward now.

So it was pretty crazy yesterday. We had a BBQ with Gina and her family. I was the cook. It was awesome. We grilled chicken and also smoked it at the same time. It was amazing. That is the kind of grill that you need to get - a charcoal one. That is the way to go and that is what I am going to do when I get back is get one of those. I am still looking to find a hardcore BBQer and get some awesome recipes, and when I do then i will send some home.We had our last zone conference with President Cutler. It was amazing and I got a lot out of it. He is an awesome Mission President and I will miss him but our new one - President Jones - will be pretty sweet.
He comes June 30th.

I did get all the letters. I will try and write back today and if not, then I will get them next week. It has been a crazy p-day so far. We did service this morning and are now at a members house in a different ward emailing cuz the place we email is closed for the holiday. So yeah, we got approved to use a members computer for email.

I don't even remember what else happened this week. Those were the big things. Still working hard and now getting to the point that the weeks go pretty fast, but the days seem like weeks, but I am also getting close to where I love it all! I got the X-factor at zone conference, it is legit!

I think that is it. I love you all. Thanks for all the support.

Love,

Elder Harvey
