Six Weeks In

What it is family?

It sounds like Wyoming was awesome. And like I asked in the last email, you did do a lot of work up there like usual. Nice dad. The picture worked out. It was sweet. Mom and Katie are awesome, and even Lexie is awesome. She wasn't even looking at the camera what a dork.

I shared the story of the girls that rolled in front of you with my companion. What idiots! I'm glad you are all safe, they were probably all texting and that is why they wanted their phones so bad. Geez...

Oh and yeah Dad, when you talk to me about work I don't understand anything... so yeah it's pretty sweet to read it ha.

Anyways... this week...

Well first off, pretty sweet p-day already. We just got done golfing. A member took us to a cheap golf course here in Round Rock. It was only 6 holes and probably the crappiest golf course I have ever seen. I dominated… like always… I actually played decent. I could hit the ball straight and stuff it was sweet. Our member paid for all three of us and two carts and it was 22 dollars! Steal of a deal.

We are still teaching quite a few people. We have a baptism on the 13th of this month! And we committed another kid this last week on Saturday to be baptized on the 27th! The mission has a goal of 100 baptisms every month and right now we have 93 committed to be baptized… so pray for them!

We are continuing to go to Gina's house and teach her and see if she is willing to change. It is still a very messed up story and we learn something new about it each and every day. Her son is 16, like I said, and the second time maybe, when we went over there, I schooled him in ping pong. At first I told him I’m not good at all and he got his hopes up then I just destroyed him like I do everyone else. Ha! Then I told him that I was the ping pong champion up at USU. It was fun. He is very hard-hearted about the church and what not because of his dad and this is the only way to get him to open up and trust us. Hopefully he will come along and we will be able to teach and baptize him. He is a stud!

Another family we are teaching, Cornelius and Adrinna. They have three kids named Karma, Faith, and Hope (I think). They are black and awesome! We tried to commit them to be baptized but they said that they had been baptized before and kind of got upset and mad after that. We asked them to pray about it and to see how they feel. They are promising..

I don't know if I ever told you about how Brandon Michael is very inactive. He is the one with the guns and is the ex-marine and has 18 marks on his shotgun. He came to church two weeks ago but not yesterday. He hasn't been to church for a long time, so we are working with him and I think he is liking it. He is an awesome dude and he has some awesome kids. I had a Nerf gun war with them the other week! It was sick!

Our neighbor downstairs is still being gay. I don't know if told you about him, but he has called the cops on us 3 times ‘cuz apparently we are being loud. Now he is just banging on the wall. So we went down to talk to him and he just went off and said that he thinks we are immature and we are just playing games with him and we are just stupid and immature. It was kind of funny, we just kind of laughed ‘cuz he is crazy and just went on our way. We have the apartment management behind us ‘cuz they have gone over there a couple of times to listen and they don't hear anything and he always says well they know you are here so they aren't making noise. So I guess that if I get robbed it will be him or he might try and do something to us. We personally aren't worried about it, and we think that he just knows who we are and doesn't like the Mormons or something… but yeah, that happened this week..

I don't know if you have put money in my account, but i have kind of bought some stuff. So I will probably be in the hole. If you could put 100 or 200 in there to last me a year or so that would be great. Thanks. Also Dad, one of these days you will get a package with a sweet Harley shirt from down here. We always pass the store here in Austin and we are talking about going there soon. I'll get a sick one!

So the kid that has a baptismal date for the 27th is like 21 years old. He is super sweet. He is a UFC/MMA fighter and has nasty cauliflower ear. But he is super strong and investigating the church like crazy. I know he will hold to the 27th, he has been to church with us twice and all together 3 times. He is super worried about his past sins and stuff, but we talked to him about the atonement and baptism and being washed clean and he liked that. So pray for him to continue to feel good about that date.

I think that is it for this week… Hope all is well... I love you all!

Elder Harvey

La familia es la mas importante cosa en esta vida! Les amo!
