"Ya'll" - Welcome to Texas

Family,

How ya'll doin? Ha - there is my first ya'll. I find myself trying to say it throughout the day so I figure it will be a consistent thing here in a couple of weeks.

It sounds like everything is going good. I'm proud of Kate as well. It is sweet to hear how she is doing and that she is working hard to become better. I'm jealous of her to be able to improve her game in the next 3 years and hopefully be able to get a scholarship. It will be fun to come home and see how she improved.

I will be looking for the package and also my X-factor. Thanks for sending those to me, and my patriarchal blessing. I haven't read it for awhile so it will be good to read.

This week was pretty good except a couple of days when I had to wait for my companion and I didn't do any work. That is when it goes slow.

But I think I told you about Wess, and how we think that he is setting us up. We went back on Tuesday and got nothing accomplished. He and Bro. Smith (one of the members) talked the whole time and just about random things so we didn't even teach him anything. He is still trying to set us up to prove we are wrong. I told my comp that it is just a waste of time cuz he is not ready and there are other people out there that are ready so we are going to see this week if we should drop him or not. We are actually going to go in there and be like, "This is how it is Wess. We are going to teach you and you will comment but not go off on something random. Also if you don't come to church next week we will probably have to not come back again." We will say it in a nice way ya know. But I will let you know how that goes next week.

Also this week we found a couple by knocking. We knocked their house and she immediately let us in and we taught her the restoration and she had some way good questions and was like, "Okay, I could see that happening." Then we went back on Saturday and taught her and her boyfriend. We thought they were married but they aren't. They seem way legit and they are reading from the Book of Mormon and are having way good questions, so we will see where that goes. We go back on Thursday this week to teach the Plan of Salvation. We are shooting for a wedtism. (wedding and baptism)

Then last night we found a little 9 year-old boy and his Mom. We sat there for an hour or hour and a half and talked to the little boy. He had questions about God and such. He was very intelligent. It is sweet how the Lord puts people in our way. We were walking and they pulled up from the grocery store and we helped them with groceries. That is how we got into their house. It was sweet. We are going back next Sunday to talk about the Plan of Salvation and whatever else the Spirit directs.

It is sweet how the lord has blessed us in this area. Because before I got here it was dead and they had nothing going on. But since then we have found people and are teaching lessons, I know it isn't me, it's the Lord blessing me and my companion.

Well that is it for this week. I will let you know how those go next week. Keep praying hard and doing what the lord wants. I love ya'll!!

Elder Harvey
