Four Months Out From The TSAM

Family,

Hello y'all! How is everyone doing? It is going well here. We had an awesome week this last week, and saw some sweet miracles. The work here is booming if you ask my comp so that is good! First off, I am staying here in McNeil. My companion was pretty sure that he was going to leave but he is also staying. This is his first 4 transfer area. So we are going to do work!

I laughed pretty good when I read the story about Trevan. He is the man. It reminded me of the story of Jake at Costco. Ha ha! Sounded like a crazy week with the teachers. Sounded fun though that is good. I don't even have Skylar's address, so you can get that for me. Plus he is moving soon. I have emailed him, but get me his address and I will write him. Also you wouldn't happen to have an SD card and a junk drive somewhere that you can send me do you? I am going to start sending SD cards home every once in a while so you can put pics on the computer and clear it and get them printed out. And I could really use a junk drive. I would buy one i just don't have any money in my account so i don't want to go into debt. Also are you blogging with my letters? Just wondering so that I can look at it sometimes.

My week...

It was a pretty righteous week. Our guy that got baptized last week got confirmed on Sunday so that was sweet. He is a little odd though about his beliefs and stuff but he will work it out hopefully.

Our investigator that was killing it, progressing like crazy and had a baptismal date for the 27th, kind of just stopped. He is stuck on whether or not Thomas S. Monson really is a prophet, and he has been doing crazy research. It's just when you do crazy research you get a lot of crazy stuff out there. So he is not ready for baptism this week which is sad but he will be ready soon.

We met a guy that is so prepared by the Lord. Two Sundays ago there was this family who came to our ward and they were going to bring him but he wasn't ready. Our investigator, and his friend, who came to our ward are both paraplegics. Ken is our investigator. He is awesome. We went over on Sunday last week and his friend gave us a Book of Mormon to give him with his testimony in it. So we went over and gave it to him and talked with him and read Moroni 10:3-5 and his testimony out of it. He was like blown away and was so happy we were there. He said he has never felt this much peace and happiness in his life. We have been meeting with him every day for the last week. He already has a baptismal date set for the 17th of July! He is awesome, and he has expressed to us that everything we have told him, the Book of Mormon, and Joseph Smith is true. He said that everything is coming together in his life right now because we are teaching him this and he is gaining the knowledge. We even have helped him into his bed and stuff a couple of times, so now I know what it was like for Chelsey to work for that one guy for a little bit. Ken got into a wreck about a year ago. In October. He rolled his truck 5 times and just crushed his spine. He has a 15 inch scar down his back from his neck down and a ton of titanium in his back. He showed us some pictures of his truck and it was messed up way bad. It was a brand new F-150 too. He is way awesome though.

So you know Bro. Breakface right? He is the one with the shotgun with the etches on the butt. Well he is awesome and loves us. He told us the other night that we are the first missionaries to get him back to church since he was baptized 3 years ago. He is super awesome and protective of us too. He always asks if anyone is giving us a hard time and we always tell him no. He also whipped out his M4 the other day. I held it and it was pretty sweet. My companion was in heaven it seemed like when he got it out. It was a cool night. Also we are now teaching his girlfriend. So in the next transfer hopefully we have a weddism. (baptism and wedding) I'll let you know how that goes.

I talked to the guy in my ward that served in Korea. He served at the same time just in the other mission. Or else you guys would probably know each other. His last name is Bishop by the way. I don't know his first name it is just Brother.

This picture that I attached is of the guy that we baptized on the 13th. Javon Carter.

I think that is about it for this week. I love y'all!

Also tell Kate that i will just write her a letter it is a lot easier.

Love,

Elder Harvey
