6 Months!

Well well well family,

The life in the mission field is going great. And it sounds like life not in the mission field for you guys is going great as well. Durango, and what not, sounded fun but it would have been a lot funner with the Jeep. Here in Texas we see jacked up, huge Jeeps all the time and I just say to my companion, "too bad they can't use that anywhere cool." Jeeps are awesome.

Today for P-day we went mountain biking. It was way sweet. We went with another set of Elders and with a member from our Singles Ward. We took some sweet pictures, I think, so I will get some of them.

Well it was transfer week as you know, and I am.........staying. I'm pretty excited to stay, and continue to work here in McNeil and with the Singles Ward. My companion however is leaving, and going down to the border to become a district leader. He was not expecting that at all, especially the border part because he is not a Spanish speaking elder. But he is excited and will tear it up. So on Thursday I will receive a new companion. I will tell you about him next week.

Most of our district, well actually all of our district is staying, except my companion and one of our zone leaders left to go be an assistant. So yeah, it is going to be another sweet transfer.

This week nothing really happened. Chaz and Theresa Green are still closed even though she has a testimony of the Book of Mormon. We are teaching a single guy that has a baptismal date for the 8th, but he pushed it back and said he wasn't ready the other day, so now it is scheduled for the 22nd. He will push through though. We aren't really teaching anyone else besides that. We are trying to do a lot of finding and we are talking to a lot of people, but no one really is to promising. It's tough sometimes , but I know that is how it works. Like a roller coaster.

We did have an encounter with our downstairs friend again. He went off on us and I thought he was going to jump the hedge and try to fight us, but he looked at me and knew that was a bad idea. HA! But then he came and apologized the next day and we worked things out. We think he is crazy, but we will see what happens. So that was one of the interesting things that happened this week.

We also rode our bikes (well I rode someone else's bike) on Saturday all day. Man was that killer! It was 100+ that day and is supposed to be 100+ all this week. So it is beginning to get hot here in Texas.

Well I think that is about it for this week. I will have more for next week cuz we are going to find a sweet family to teach this week I know it!

I love you all!

Elder Harvey
