Another Week

Hello Family,

This week was pretty sweet. My new companion and I are kind of getting along with each other. We have our differences, and what not, but we worked them out and are getting along better now. We are working hard that is for sure. We had some legit numbers this week and as we look back the Lord has blessed us for our efforts.

The people we are teaching are still progressing. Cassius who has a date on the 22nd, is kind of having a rough time. It is amazing what the adversary can do when someone has made a commitment to be baptized. What I mean by that is when we first started meeting with him we could meet any day because he never worked, but now he has a job. Now that he has a solid commitment again for baptism, he works everyday for like 8 or 9 hours so we can never meet with him. We weren't able to meet with him this last week, but we have already taught him everything. It is now just trying to get his doubts away, and what not. He will make it though.

Theresa and Chaz dropped us for a while. We had dinner with them on Thursday and she expressed to us that Chaz is not making any progress and we need to let her work on him and that we can't meet with them for a while. So hopefully he will open his heart and change.

The Vliegers, Adam and Analiese, are tearin' it up. They are a sick family! We set them with a date on Monday and have had two sweet lessons with them this past week. They are getting baptized on the 4th of September. We are working with their dad to be able to baptize them. Apparently, like 2 years ago, the ward did a big push of trying to get Adam, who is now 10, to be baptized. And I guess that his dad wasn't able to do it and so after that they backed off and just didn't follow through with it. But this time it is going to happen no matter what, because they told us that they talked about that and that if he can't do it then we will just do it. So it is a very sick thing happening!

We taught a lot of people this week as well. We just didn't really get any solid commitments to come back. We have run into a couple of crazy fools that dog on the church and our teachings and we try to explain it to them but they are just stuck in their ways, and sometimes I just wanna slap them in the face and say "Wake up." But I know that I'm a missionary and that I need to keep my cool.

I think that is about it for this week. Tell Katie good luck in volleyball and Taylor in soccer and school. Let me know about football. I'm excited to hear about them. You could even send me articles or what not through out the weeks, that would be sweet. And also tell Chel good luck with having a baby. I'm prayin for them. I love you all! Have a good week!

Le cuidas!
